TESTIMONIALS

happy clients

As CEO, I know how to run a business but what I didn’t always know is how to best show up for my team. Dorothy swooped in and changed the game for how both me AND my team show up for each other. I’ve learned so much over the years from Dorothy on what it takes to be an exceptional leader. She is the real deal and I’ve never seen a human being on this planet that she can’t transform with her leadership magic.

I’ve had the privilege of receiving leadership training and coaching from Dorothy for over 10 years. Dorothy’s unique style of coaching has helped me enhance my communication skills and grow my emotional intelligence. This has positively influenced how I have led my organizations and teams.

Even the savviest businesswomen get their inspiration from somewhere. For me, one of those individuals is Dorothy Enriquez! She shares insights for today’s 21st century women. As editor in chief of DOT Magazine, Dorothy can be counted on to publish articles and provide answers to the questions that need to be answered. While her she understands the 20s & 30’s crowd, her insights apply equally to this businesswoman, entrepreneur and mother in her 50’s. She offers an honest, no-nonsense perspective that we need to hear. Honored to be a loyal follower and DOTista! Dorothy is an inspiration!

Rose Walker, Manager of Talent Acquisition & Compensation

Dorothy Enriquez is a captivating and engaging speaker. Her work makes you want to “up your game” and motivates you to align your goals with your personal and professional development. I‘ve called on The Communication Strategist to speak for several events now, including a Social Justice Awareness Event & a Women’s Leadership Summit. My events were engaging & successful because of her presence. I highly recommend her as both an Event Speaker or Workplace Coach, your audience won’t forget her message and will be discussing it for weeks to come.

I’ve had the privilege of working with and getting to know Dorothy for almost 2 years. As the Program Manager at the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (the Chamber), I’ve worked closely with Dorothy as she has been the facilitator for our Award-Winning RISE MKE Entrepreneurial Training Program. She has been with the program since its inception in 2018. As a facilitator for the program, Dorothy has given over 50 minority entrepreneurs in the City of Milwaukee the tools and support needed to be successful business owners. She’s what I like to call a true “Gem Dropper”. Her knowledge and realness of entrepreneurship shines through and entrepreneurs always appreciate her ability to share her own successes and failures of entrepreneurship.

With her business and brand being The Communication Strategist, she is certainly that personally and professionally. She offers different perspectives to personal and professional growth that helps shape you into the true leader or entrepreneur you want to be. Dorothy has been a tremendous help in the facilitation of our RISE program. She works with the entrepreneurs in our program discussing everything from marketing, branding, pricing, mission and vision statements, purpose, and pitching your business. She is truly great at what she does and has left an everlasting impact on the entrepreneurs she has taught.

Working with Dorothy has been a great experience. She is always prompt, efficient, and produces great outcomes for whatever you may need as it relates to bringing the absolute best out of people. It’s a true pleasure to work with Dorothy and experience the awesome works of The Communication Strategist. Whether in a non-profit, corporate, or personal setting, I highly recommend Dorothy for your facilitation needs in leadership, personal and professional growth, and entrepreneurship. You will not be disappointed!

Dorothy facilitated a session for the Black Resource Group at Campbell Soup Company. Her content was inspiring, relevant and compelling. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from the session participants citing her upbeat and poignant delivery of “The Plug”. I would recommend booking her services and intend to bring her back to Campbell in the future.

Leah Murphy, Senior Manager Corporate Strategy

The Communication Strategist has a real approach to today’s leadership and self development challenges. All the material is relevant, poignant and presented in a humorous way that sticks with the audience. As someone who has gone through every leadership course known to mankind and an avid reader on this topic, I found TCS approach to be profound. Highly recommend!  You will certainly get something to think about with a fresh perspective.

Maja Stevanovich, The Marketing Chameleon

The Communication Strategist, Dorothy Enriquez, has played a pivotal role in my leadership journey. I’ve had the pleasure of growing with Dorothy over the last 1.5 years, at multiple companies, in both group and individual capacities. Before our sessions, I struggled to empower my team to take action on their own. My confidence wavered with the day, struggling to see the value I brought to those around me. Dorothy, in turn, helped me identify my style of leadership, taught me strategies to overcome my obstacles while speaking life into me throughout the entire process. I am more assertive in conversation, I am more congruent with my future goals, and I have a team of high performers who make big moves. This investment was well worth my hard-earned dollars!

Rebecca Moses, Housing Services Manager

Good Morning Dorothy!

If you are like me and still reeling from the event yesterday, we are not alone. I wanted to share just one of the many emails we received about the event. Please see below.

“I thought the class today was the best diversity and inclusion class I have attended to date. I was dreading it going in, expecting yet another lecture about my white privilege yada yada yah. I was so wrong. Dorothy Enriquez is an excellent speaker, kept everyone engaged and actually got me to pay attention and lower my defenses. Thank you for including us in this opportunity.”

Thank you! Thank you! We absolutely enjoyed hosting the event and after hearing feedback like this, it’s safe to say others did too! Special shout out to Debbie, Phoebe, and the AAKC Diversity & Inclusion Committee for all your hard work! Also, to Jillian at Valet Living for the generous sponsorship. We couldn’t have done it without each of you! Here’s looking to a future of being brave! #aakc #diversityandinclusion #yourrighttowin

The presentation today for Your Right to Win was amazing and very much a great experience. I ended up hopping on with a coworker after having technical difficulties with my own computer, even despite those issues it was an incredible webinar. I have no idea how you came to learn about Dorothy, but she is incredibly talented and hands down that was the most engaging Zoom call. I’d love to see her in person post COVID!

Shawna Neuner, Real Estate Agent

This was my first Coaching experience and it was invaluable! Dorothy really took the time to dig deep with me and allow me the space to overcome my fears and doubts professionally as well as personally. This session definitely gave me the clarity and confidence I needed to take the next steps in my life and I absolutely love that the homework assignments give you clear direction moving forward.

Her cultural work with us was powerful. Dorothy created distinction and language around how our company works; because without it our world can’t occur. And with language and a framework we can ignite sustained transformation within our culture and organization. Everything else can emerge from that.

Coming from a military background there was a lot of information that I already live by, such as respect, trust, responsibility, and timeliness, so all of the topics that covered those attributes were excellent reminders. Other information I found helpful was the information regarding learning the “house rules” or culture of your department, as well as the information about thinking before you speak. The most important thing for me was how all of those things boil together into creating a good/respected name for yourself in the corporate world. Having a respectful reputation is what is going to take you places in the corporate world. As far as areas of improvements, I can’t think of any. I liked the way the conversation flowed and I found it very informative.

Going off of relationship building, I think talking about professionalism at work and knowing how much information to disclose/reading the room to know when it’s ok to be informal would be helpful!

Dorothy helped to answer questions that I didn’t even have yet – it was super helpful & would like to know if we’ll be able to finish out some of the topics we didn’t get to last time since we wasted time.

Reach Counseling has had the pleasure of working with Dorothy for the past 9 months. During that time, Dorothy has led our agency through a meaningful and impactful diversity, equity and inclusion journey. Dorothy inspired and educated our team through her sessions and coaching. As a result, our team learned that effective organizations promote inclusion by (1) continually attending to inclusion dynamics; (2) clearly articulating norms and expectations related to inclusion; (3) role-modeling inclusive behaviors; and (4) holding others accountable for engaging in inclusive behaviors. Dorothy has taught us how to be intentionally inclusive. I highly recommend Dorothy to any agency that is looking to take action and be successful in their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts! We will continue to consult with Dorothy as our team and organization evolves into the future
